Viessmann at the Installer Festival 2020
21st April 2020
We were delighted to be part of Installer magazine’s #InstallerFESTIVAL, a virtual industry gathering which took place May 11th to 22nd and was designed to get the sector together during the Coronavirus pandemic. Viessmann presented two virtual training sessions, open to all, on the topic of heat pumps, reflecting growing interest amongst installers of this technology. We also gave away a Vitodens 111-W high performance storage combi boiler at the end of the festival.
An explanation of heat pump technology was provided for those looking to make the jump to their first heat pump install.
There is growing interest amongst Gas Safe and OFTEC installers to improve their knowledge of heat pumps, and it’s becoming clearer that the Government supports heat pumps as a primary future technology. You have probably already been thinking about when (as opposed to if!) you will add heat pumps to your business.
In the session, Christian explained heat pump technology from the ground up: what it is, how it works, efficiency and the importance and effect of flow temperature, radiator sizing, how to size a heat pump, noise emissions, hydraulic schematic examples and planning references.
Viessmann's Christian Engelke introduced the new Vitocal 100-A monobloc air source heat pump.
With its compact design, Viessmann’s new monobloc ASHP is easy to adapt to UK heating systems and is therefore a perfect product for Gas Safe and OFTEC installers as a first heat pump installation, both for the new build and retrofit market.
The Vitocal 100-A is an A+++ high efficiency heat pump, for very low running costs, and uses environmentally-friendly refrigerant. Our most affordable heat pump comes with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty as standard, and there is the option to purchase an increase in the warranty duration to seven years.
Come on board with Viessmann for a renewable future!
