Low temperature gas boilers with outputs up to 2000 kW

Heat generation for residential and commercial spaces accounts for about 40 percent of total energy consumption in western industrialised countries. At the same time, this presents an enormous savings potential that should be exploited with modern heating technology. Highly efficient heating systems, including Viessmann low temperature gas boilers, are already in use around the world –– not only in numerous households, but also in many large-scale projects.

From historical monuments to highly productive industrial complexes and large-scale residential and commercial sites, Viessmann always has the right innovative heating solutions ready for the most diverse challenges. By using energy reserves sustainably and sparingly, the heating systems make an active contribution to climate protection.

Vitoplex 300 low temperature gas boiler with multi layered convection heating surfaces

Viessmann has developed several low temperature gas boilers for use in large buildings, commercial premises and industrial facilities. These include, among others, the Vitoplex 300. This three-pass boiler, with its proven multi layered convection heating surfaces made of triplex pipes, offers particularly economical, clean and reliable operation. The multi layered heating surfaces of the Vitoplex 300 are comprised of telescopically arranged steel pipes pressed into each other for ideal heat transfer. The inner pipe, with its linear fins, creates a heating surface 2.5 times greater than that of smooth pipes.

Conventional boilers for different requirements

The versatility of the Vitoplex range, which is technically and in terms of price categorised into stages 300 and 200, ensures that the perfect solution is available for every demand and any budget. One thing that all products share is the top quality for which Viessmann is renowned. The Vitorond 200 comes into its own where awkward spatial conditions make it necessary to bring the gas boiler to the installation location in sections.

Conventional boilers for different requirements

The Vitorond 200: flexible construction

In older buildings in particular, conditions are often cramped, making installation considerably more difficult. The Vitorond 200 low temperature gas boiler is the answer to this problem. Because with this cast iron sectional boiler, the segments can be transported individually into the boiler room. Once all the components are in place, the low temperature gas boiler can be easily assembled in situ with a compression tool.

Eutectoplex heating surface for high operational reliability and a long service life

The cast sections of Vitorond 200 boilers are made from special eutectic cast iron with a homogeneous structure. The fine design of the graphite fins and the high level of material purity of the low phosphorous special cast iron increase its elasticity. The material, shape and geometry of the cast sections provide even cooling inside the mould during manufacture. This prevents structural stresses right from the start, resulting in high operational reliability and a long service life.

Three-pass boiler with low emissions

At the end of the combustion chamber, the combustion gases flow forward through four hot gas flues arranged symmetrically around the combustion chamber and enter the four collectors of the third hot gas pass via the front section. At the back of the boiler, the four cooled hot gas streams are channelled to the chimney via the flue gas connection. The three-pass design reduces the dwell time of the hot gases in the high reaction temperature zone. This results in reduced nitrogen oxide emissions.
